Robo-Teacher? No Thanks

Do you believe computers will be able to replace teachers some day? many people do believe so. "We live in a technological age, it is only a matter of time until machines will take over human jobs in every life domain" says professor Arik Daniel of the Technology Studies University of Tel-Aviv, "It is inevitable and honestly, mankind looks forward for the chance to enslave machines to pamper up the western world."

Unfortunately, I do believe computers will be able to replace teachers, if not already. I prefer human being as a teacher rather than a machine because no matter how advanced a computer may be and how well it can teach, it could never dialogue with students the way teachers do. Teachers show emotions and that is the difference between people and machines. If the only reason for students to go to school is to become smarter, than school shouldn't exist and the kids should learn by themselves. I believe school's main purpose is to develop morals and to teach the students how to stand for their principles and for their beliefs.

Moreover, if robots are to teach humans instead of teachers, we can only expect them to teach the way they are planned and nothing beyond that, meaning they will teach students to think like machines, the way they are programmed. Any society that will accept such a teaching program will condemn itself to become a cold hearted machine-like society, in which the citizens will concentrate on climbing up the socio-economic ladder regarding the option of hurting others while doing so.

To conclude, I think that replacing teachers with computers is the fulfillment of mankind's suicidal instinct and if we do so, the differences between us and machines will be erased. From now on, listening to me is up to you, but if you choose not to, don't say nobody warned you.

Revolution of the Internet

The internet is an invention that has revolutionized our lives. It was created at the beginning of the century and speard world wide in no time. About ninty-nine percent of computers in the western world are already connected.

The internet is a fast and convinient way of communicating with each other. For example, you could send a message to a friend from your computer, using E-mail, and get a response in an instant. Also, you can access information published in websites, sometimes you're able to even edit the information. And if you are a teenager, you would probably enjoy playing video games through the internet.

On the other hand, the internet is sometimes a very dangerous place, especially for children. Kids often do not think before giving strangers they talk to on the internet details from their private lives, so it is easy for dangerous people to gather up enough details to locate people they meet on the internet. Moreover, young kids are frequently exposed to adult contents on the internet, and if they find it interesting they may implement what they see and try doing it themselves.

To conclude, I believe that the internet is a very positive and modern tool that eases our lives. but as much as I want my life to be easy, I rather my kids stay safe and away from dangerous people. Therefore, I suggest young kids use the internet only under adult supervision.

Youngsters' license

A too widespreaded phenomenon is young drivers envolved in car accidents. It seems like every day a disaster occurs on the road, especially to people under the age of 18. Therefore, an organization of accident victims has recently proposed that the age for getting a driver's license should be raised to 19.

In my book, raising the age for getting a driver's license to 19 won't solve the problem. Recent studies show that only four percent of lethal car accidents are caused by youngsters. Raising the age for getting the driver's license will only keep them off the road but ninty-six percent of the lethal car accidents will still occur and the problem will live on. The problem won't be solved and teens will lose their opportunity to get their license.

Another way of dealing with this issue is by upgrading all cars to automatic level, meaning the cars will have some sort of an autopilot system that will make it easier for drivers to control and maneuver their vehicle. Using this technology will increase the chance of surviving serious accidents. The technology exists, but the will to use it is missing.

To conclude, I don't think that the age is the main factor for car accidents. After all, alchohol is at 90 percent the cause for accidents and it is more accessible as an adult than as a teen. Therefore I find no reason in punishing teenagers when adults' judgement is to be deficient.

Friends

One of the most important things in the world, according to most of the people are their friends.
It is an instict of people to team up with and surrond themselves with the ones they like and have a common denominator, and most people try to find special qualities in those friends.

In my opinion, the most important quality in friends is being trust-worthy, because you can't always rely on your own skills and you need the assistance of another person. A few more qualities friends should have is being good listeners and helpful when needed because with no listening there can be no real connection with anyone. The only conversation that can exist in such terms is a one-side one.

Moreover, friends often critisize us and tell us that we are wrong when no one else will. With no friends we would keep doing those mistakes that we never notice ourselves. They back us up when we need them and support us when we have a hard time.

To conclude, I think friends are great for just being there. With no friends we would be a bunch of lonely and bitter sociopaths. Without them there would be no one to catch us when we fall and when it ever happens it is going to hurt. I honestly believe they make us happier and more positive about this world and the people living in it.

An issue that concerns everyone, especially teenagers, is the fact that student's aren't involved enough in their communities. Surprisingly or not, a research shows that it mostly happens in highly developed cities and societies. It is also important to say that there are many people that think there is nothing wrong with it. I am not one of them and I'd like to suggest a few ways to deal with it.

For one thing, most students are in a phase of depression and confusion. They think they are alone and that adults will never understand them, therefore they want no connection with the people around them. In order to get to them and make them involved in the community it is necessary to make them trust adult people. That is possible by organizing courses that will teach teachers and parents how to gain students' respect. That will make the students more open-minded and they will be ready to open up to the community.

Another way of dealing (with) this issue is by using what students like to educate them to be involved in their communities(phr. - not clear what you mean). That can be done by having concerts, festivals, parades and more. It will prove (to) the students that the community has something to offer them and they will be interested in becoming a part of it.

To conclude, if adults offer studetns and teenagers some attraction(s) and show their understanding, the students will open up for new ideas such as(where is the rest???)

I suggest that you produce a satiric show about Israeli teachers and students that will present them in a ridiculous form. Such a show should creatisize(sp.) the problematic situation between students and teachers, and I believe it would be a great way of making students understand their place and teachers realize what to do in order to be as respected as they can.

In my opinion, producing such a show is one of the greatest solutions to the educational problem in the area. One and a half months ago I went on a trip to Germany, organized by your company. I was most of all furious and disappointed with almost the whole trip. I want to complain about your service and the lies in your website about it.

First, the hotel you picked was horrible. There was no pool, some of the meals weren't kosher, the rooms were too small and the view was the city's garbage dump. You actually lied to us about this place on your website. You said this place was dreamy, but it was a nightmare. I feel betrayed and that you misled me.

Moreover, I was terribly worried when I realized our only security guard didn't have a weapon, any guarding skills and most of all he acted like he was high, and he was supposed to protect all the 35 people in this trip. The guide was also problematic. He was impatient, rude with zero social skills. He made us pay 200$ for a lousy souvenir that broke down 30 minutes later on at the end of the trip.

To conclude, the hotel, the guide and the security guard you have chosen were preposterous. I felt like I was a part of a bad joke. I expect a refund and an apology letter. I urge you to publish more accurate information in your site, so other customers won't be misled as I was. If you don't do so you will leave me no choise(sp.) but to prosecute(ww.) you.

Virtual classes, known also as Virtual schools, is (a) new program that combines the learning progress of a school and the conveniecy of computers. To some of you it may sound strange but sometimes it works better than a normal class and it's also pretty simple. The students go on a website, and there(phr. - where) they can see they're(sp.) teacher through a video. (new sentence) their teacher uploads to the website(phr.), in that video the teacher could(gr. - can) teach or help the students.

On the one hand, studying like this makes it more convinient for most of the students and for some of the teachers to communicate with each other. It also solves discipline issues, because the problematic students cannot hurt the studying atmosphere, nor insult the teacher or other students,(new sentence) after all the other students and teachers can't hear them, and in some class forums inappropriate messages can be deleted or cencored.

On the other hand, students may not be able to understand the studying material property, some students only understand it when the teacher or an advanced student explains it to them (in person).

This year, as it is already a custom, 11th graders from almost every Israeli high school, including yours, have been given the opportunity to join a group of israeli students and teachers going on a trip to Poland. This trip is very significant to Israelis and Jews, in general, and probably most of the students want to take a part in this important journey to concentration camps in Poland. However, I believe the price of the trip is too high and thus many students can't afford to go on the trip, in spite of its importance, and that is just why I'm writing you this letter

First of all, I realize that your school gives scholarships to students that need it, but most of the students need it, so even if you give a few students scholarships, it's not going to be enough for the rest of them. Because of economic problems about 80% of the 11th graders won't be able to afford buying(מיותר) the tickets and won't go to(ww. - on) this unimaginably important trip.If they don't experience this trip now who knows when they're going to have a second chance to do this.

I know that, as a principal, you're(you are) under a lot of pressure, but this is urgent, and if we work hard and fast enough we will be able to solve this problem easily. The students and I have no time to waste, the trip is in a few months and we don't want to miss it. it's a once in a life opportunity, and it's a shame that students can't go just because they can't afford it.

To conclude, students should go to Poland without being worried about its price, but since money is always a problem, I suggest either to reach an agreement with the airline company, and make the tickets cheaper(phr. - and lower/reduce the prices), or give scholarships to more students.

The Long Goodbye is a drama book, written by ____________ . The book is about a private investigator that gets close to a bum, and gets in trouble because of him. Generally I liked the idea of the book just as an idea, but as a book it was awful.

The main characters in the book were ordinary, boring and full of suffer(ww.) as watching a sleeping person for a whole night with no option to leave. The main character is Peter Marlow, a private investigator, that should've minded his own business, (Start a new sentence) (He) finds a bum sitting in the street with his weird wife. Obviously Marlow got(gr. - use the present) curious and as I said in the first paragraph, that's what got him into a few troubles(phr. - trouble).

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at(ww.) september 21, 2009 he was proud he had managed to enrage the West by denying the Holocaust during a speech he made in Tehran in honor of Jerusalem day.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is obviously trying to disturb the israeli efforts to stop the wars and the tension in the area. Israel has to contradict Ahmadinejad's words as soon as possible. If Israel doesn't do it, its reputation could be damaged.

Also, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad supports terror and wants to destroy Israel, America and probably a few europian countries, and a person that supports terror isn't so different from the actual terrorists. Therefore Ahmadinejad shouldn't be trusted.

To conclude, there must be done something immidietly(wo.) about Ahmedinejad's words before it gets even more dangerous, and before he convinces more people that Israel is a devilish country.

It's about time

Gilad Shalit is an israeli soldier that was kidnapped on June 25, 2006. When he was kidnapped he was 20 years old, and now he is 23 years old and still being kept imprisoned by the Hamas terror organization in Gaza.

The family of Gilad Shalit has suffered for too long, their pain is beyond undarstanding and they are desperate to bring him back .This issue could have been solved a long time ago if the government seriously tried to make a deal with the Hamas and bring Gilad back. The government must do whaterver it can to make sure that its citizens are safe and if they're not safe, it's the governemt's duty to make them safe even if the price is high.

The Gilad Shalit's issue also causes a decrease in the citizens' ability to trust the government's will to protect and serve. People don't want to go to the army anymore because they're afraid that if they're captured, the government just won't work hard enough to bring them back and that their lives are going to be ruined.

To conclude, Gilad has suffered a lot and we can just imagine how bad he feels in that place where he's being kept. The government should just pay the price to release him and get this over with. Gilad and his family aren't the only ones suffering from that situation, Israel suffers too.

One of the most common issues in Facebook, one of the most popular websites in the world, is the hate-groups in it. hate-groups is a part of Facebook's group applications and there is no real way to get the hate-groups out of Facebook. The fight against it has to come from the target audience.

Some people may think that hate-groups are funny and that it doesn't really hurt anyone, some may even enjoy it. But there is nothing funny in insulting people and swearing at them. That kind of stuff are always the beginning of wars.

Also, that phenomenon is a very bad way that teaches young kids to hate those hated people and want to hurt them even more. It can only make the society more violent. A cultured society can't live along with hate.

To conclude, I think that something must be done about this situation. It hurts the students' way of thinking, they can't tell what is right and what is wrong. It also hurts small groups of different people in the world, It encourages racism and violence. and must be dealt as soon as possible.

About The Uniforms

In some schools students have to wear uniforms in order to get in and study. In the pat few years the biggest issue about school uniforms keep coming up, should student wear school uniforms or not?. Many students claim that they shouldn't wear school uniforms and they should pick their own clothes, and determain their own clothing rules.

On the one hand, I agree with the students, I think that school uniforms are unnecessery. They only make conflicts between the students and the school's management. The students deserve to at least wear whatever they want to wear or have enough possiblities about it.

On the other hand, too much freedom can encourage some students to hurt their body as a fashion statement such as having tatues, earings in wrong places, even going to school almost naked. Students may need elder people to tell them what to do so they won't do critical mistakes.

To conclude, school uniforms may not be necessery but it makes the students follow the rules and obey.

The story about Burge McCall and his wife

Burge McCall, a very annoying person and a bad husband, so his ex-wives say. Burge McCall is a fat little man with a bad temper that like to spend money but not on his wife but on other women. Burge McCall met Mrs. McCall in a picnic and they immidietly fell inlove. Mrs. McCall is the opposite of Mr. McCall. She's nice, kind, quite and introverted lady.

At the beginning of their relationship the couple were inlove and Mr. McCall was showering kindness and love upon his wife. But it all was gone in a short time. Mr. McCall got all mean and careless, he did almost everything that will make someone normal want to kill himself. His ex-wifes used to fight him when he did that kind of things and one of them even threw the oven on him. Mr. McCall wanted to get his wife's attention and to fight her like a little kid, but his wife remained calm and quite. At some point it was too much for him so he slapped her. She tried to stay calm and said "Mr. McCall you're a big rat" and kept ignoring him.

Mrs. McCall's words couldn't leave Mr. McCall's mind and when he went to the store the salesman told him that his wife bought rat poison. Mr. McCall was stunned and paniced, he was afraid that his wife will try to poison him and didn't want to piss her off. In order to do that he changed his atitude and became a good husband. From that point they became a good loving couple and lived a good life until death separated them.

To conclude, Mr. McCall was a bad husband at first and Mrs. McCall was quite and no one knew her name, and they may have started they're relationship badly but it ended up well, and that's the prove that everything is possible if you try hard enough.

Homework shall be illegal

Homework, one of the most hated things in the world, is an old studying method that is being used in almost every school in many countries all over the world. Among that there's an argument that questions the importance of homework. Some people claim that giving homework is a total waste of time, and others disagree and say that homework is a great way to remember the studying material - Good opening.

I, personally, hate homework and think that the world would be much happier without it. I do agree with the fact that it shows some good products of students' knowledge in school after doing the homework, but think about the bad influence the homework has on many students, and sometimes on teachers too. Homework is a sorce of self disappointment, depression, bad temper and rebelliousness (Why? It's not clear).

On the other hand, many people think that homework is the best way of studying for tests and understanding everything that is being taught. Well, I think not. After all, homework is just a method, it can be replaced by a better method. I think that the problem in this whole situation is a cause of lack of interest, now, I think that it's the government's issue and that they should think about some interesting ways to teach the students the studying material.

I believe that if no more homework is given to students, the school atmosphere will be much better and students will respect the teachers, the school and might be more interested in studying the material.

Space exploration or not?

Nowdays, it is very common to see an article about space exploration in the newspapers. In order to explore outer space the U.S and the U.S.S.R waste about 2 bilion dollars and euros on launching a single space craft. Now, is it really okay to waste so much money when the economy is dying?

On the one hand, space exploration helps humanity to get further and reach new limits. Satellites discover information about new planets, space shuttles can carry astronauts to new places in order to have a research out of earth.

On the other hand, space exploration costs a lot of money, effort and time . And in the end, all of the effort is enough for one space craft or one satellite. Have you ever thought about the possibility that a space craft explodes and doesn't finish it's "mission"? What if people die there because of others' mistakes? Are you willing to take that risk?- Have you thought about it? Write down what you think, don't limit your work to asking questions. You are present to issues here and not explaining fully any of them.

To conclude, I think that even tho space exploration costs a lot of resources, it means a great step for science. But no matter how big that step can be, it'll never be a good time to do this until there are no more wars on Earth.

NO for the peer pressure!

Many people, especially teenagers, are affected by peer pressure. Letting someone copy from your test, cutting classes or hurting someone are mostly the causes of peer pressure. Does it really look right for you to do all that? It shouldn't. In my opinion, peer pressure is the exact opposite of good education and it should be stopped immediately.

Lately we hear about many different people that commit a crime not because they wanted to or because they had to, but because they were "forced" to. Those people weren't pysically forced to commit the crime - they were forced mentally by people who wanted them to do something and used their social status in order to do that. That situation is called peer pressure.

Even tho peer pressure is mostly used to cause negative products it can also be used to cause positive products such as making a student stay and study in a class when he wants to cut it. Too bad peer pressure is almost always used to change people negativly.

To conclude, I believe that people shouldn't give in to peer pressure and that they should fight against it. And if everything I wrote in this article still didn't affect you, think about the rest of your life or even about how you're going to feel tomorrow, knowing that you've done something wrong and didn't stop it.

I would like to advice you about solving your problem. I think that real friends wouldn't hurt their own friends or risk their friends and the things that their friends care about like your grades in your case.

I suggest that if you don't want to lose them you should try and get lower grades so they will stop trying to copy from you. On the other hand, if you do that it'll hurt your grades.
If you don't like that suggestion you could also try and miss some exams and let them deal with it without you.

But, the best way of making them stop is to tell them that you just don't want to help them. Like I said- real friends doesn't risk their friends. If they get mad because of it, then they're not your friends, but if they don't get mad then you should give them a chance to prove that they can be your friends without using you.

I hope your problem will be solved as soon as possible and that you will try to use my suggestions. If you have other problems or still having this one you can ask for more advices from me.

I want to state my opinion about the the conflict between Israel and the Hamas in Gaza. I think that this is all the Hamas' fault. The Hamas was launching missiles at Israeli cities such as Sderot and Yavne altough The Hamas and Israel were supposed to be in a cease-fire. Such a situation is unfair and Israel had to fight back for it's citizens' lives.

Hey Tamir, how are you? I hope that you're okay. I'm sorry that I haven't written for a while, I was really busy with some english assignments. (You're "jumping" too quickly. First ask your friend some questions about his life and then write general things about yourself, and connect this to this late sentence) I want to tell you about something funny that happened to me.

My friend and I were walking on our way to school when we saw two kids fighting. One of them said to the other one "You came out of an encyclopedia!" and the other one said to the first one "You look like a pig!". My friend and I kept walking and laughed at them, (new sentence)my friend said "Wow they really are the most creative idiots I've ever heard". I responded "Oh really? well, you came out of an encyclopedia!" and laughed some more. Then when we almost got to school some really old lady came to me and asked what time is it(it was) while trying to pickpocket me,(new sentence) I told her what time is it(it was) and said "Mrs. if you want to pickpocket someone you should ask someone to do that for you" and smiled. The old lady acted like a gang member and said "Give me all of your money or I'll kick your ass!". I decieded to ignore that lady since I was almost late for school.

When I finally got to school and walked into my class I saw the most hated bully in school, I used to call him "The arm breaker" because mostly he said things that were conected(sp.) to arms breaking. He was standing on my table, and was writing on the ceiling, suddenly he fell from the table on a bunch of chairs. All you're doing is telling your friend what happened to you on a certain day, but the events have no connection and I fail to understand why they "made your week". Is it because they made you laugh? Is it because of something else? I don't get it.

Let's Kill Some Time!

Many scientists believe that time travel is possible by using wormholes. According to the theory of relativity a person that moves fast enough to open a wormhole will basicly open a portal to a different period of time and the wormhole will be it's gate. Let's say that two people that are in the same age are holding hands and one of them is going into a wormhole. The person that went into the wormhole will go out after a period of time while the other person will grow much older than the person that came out of the wormhole. because when the person went into the wormhole time moved slowly while for the person that waits for the person that went into the wormhole time moved normally.

Atomic clock is basicly the most exact clock that has been ever made. It is based on atomic energy levels that create a repitive signal that almost has no changes in it and by counting the changes it is possible to know what time is it.

Atomic clocks are used to show what time is it in some of the communication companies such as some of the television companies and the cellphone companies. - You need to specify more about this. This text is not enough to understand the device.

I would like to tell you about an amazing city in Spain called Barcelona. The spoken language in Barcelona is spanish and the streets look the same except for the center of the city that is basicly a big traffic circle. Near the center of the city there's a beautiful fountain that lights the streets with the colors of a rainbow.

I recommand that if you ever visit in Barcelona also go to the Dali museum and see Salvador Dali's amazing arts. Another magnificent place that I think that you should visit if you're there is a place called Empuriabrava. Empuriabrava is located by the shore and it's main source of income is in giving tourists tours in the place with their boats. If you get to Empuriabrava notice the unique style of constructing.

And to conclude Barcelona is a great place to visit in and don't forget the most important thing:
choose a hotel carefuly because the way the spanish people give their hotels stars is not the same way the israelis do which may cause a few problems if you don't do as a I recomend.

I would like to talk about my twin sister, Reut. As I said Reut is my twin sister, she is 15 years old and she was born one minute after me. Reut and I also have a brother named Roey. Reut is a kind person that would help anyone and would want nothing back.

Reut is interested in a youth movement that is called HaNoar HaOved VeHaLomed and she is a counselor in that youth movement.

Reut and I were born in Jerusalem. When Reut and I were 2 years old we moved to Holon from Tel-Aviv. Reut and I were in the same kindergarten when we were 4 years old and were in the same classes in the elementary school, in the Jr. High and in the High school.

I am very glad that I have a sister like Reut that cares about me so much. I would never want to replace her and I will do anything that I can to make her happy.- This is a good ending.

Gur, You write well, but always too short. Don't be afraid to give a deeper analysis of your sister. You haven't written anything about her personality and nearly anything about her interests. The reader does not get a good idea about your sister accoring to this essay.

Hello my name is Guy Shiran and I'm 15 years old. I have brown hair and green eyes. In my spare time I like to play computer games, to watch TV, to hang out with my friends and I like to sleep. I like to go to the movies with my friends and to play computer games like Maple Story with them.

What I like about school is that most of the teachers are nice and will help me if I ask for their help. I don't like the idea of school because it makes people think that studying is the most important thing in the world. Although I like some interesting subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry, mainly because they are really interesting. I expect to learn a lot this coming year.

To conclude I'm excited about this year. It is going to be a really important step in my life and I'll do my best and I'll work hard to get better than last year.
